i5 650 was released in January of 2010

i5-4200m was released in July of 2013

Early intel chips were making leaps and bounds in CPU performance so I would say your current laptop is significantly better.

The i5-4200m is not considering possible thermal limitations about 33% faster than the i5 650.

While the CPU is weaker, the quadro 600 is depending on the workload 2-5times faster than the Intel HD4600. So on games that aren't too hard on the CPU you would see an improvment. That being said CSGO is quite demanding on the CPU so it could be that you don't actually see an improvement. I don't know too much about the other two games, but I would suspect that Minecraft is also quite heavy on the CPU.

So all in all you are looking at marginal improvements at best, but considering it is a gift might aswell take it.
