High CPU temperatures (Ryzen 5 3600x)

So i recently bought a Ryzen 5 3600x because i kinda damaged my old Ryzen 5 2600 in a dumb way.. but nevermind..

So i put him in the Socket all good now also with a Cooler Master Master Liquid ML120 RGB, and i still get around 50-63 °C  Idle temperature and up to 80 °C on full load like FH4 on Ultra settings or so.

But in the BIOS the CPU has temperatures around 40 °C which is kinda weird, i updated the BIOS to the latest Version and idk what i could do otherwise

My Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600x

Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120 RGB

MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z

MSI B450 Tomahawk

2x8 GB G.SKILL Trident Z 3000mhz

550watt bequiet! Straight Power 11

Could it maybe help if i get the Cooler Master ML240 RGB ?

AMD said in the latest bios that they were releasing a fix for the monitoring programs to make sure that they weren't causing the CPUs to run harder when the programs were running. However, they also said that it was within spec for the Ryzen 3000 cpu's to run up to 1.5v. I think part of the problem is that the Ryzen 3000 CPUs were having an issue with monitoring programs and part of the issue is that Ryzen 3000 CPUs run hotter than the 2000 series. This isn't really an issue in my opinion since Ryzen 3000 doesn't really overclock anyways.

i had the Stock cooler before and that cooler was like straight garbage and way too loud on full load, that's my first AIO right now and im looking if i have enough space on the top part of the Case and maybe getting the ML240 RGB which obviously has better cooling performance and maybe will be not that loud on full load then the single fan 120mm im running currently.

And yeah it's true they don't really overclock well and straight up running on 1.5v and about 4250mhz most often, hopefully they pushing out BIOS Updates soon maybe the monitoring is really not true right now.

I believe they already released it, but maybe you’re motherboard vendor hasn’t updated yet. I think you’ll be just fine if you can get a 240 AIO or a beefy air cooler. These chips seem like they are too much for 120mm AIO. I ended up returning the 3700x in favor of a 9700k since I’m using it in an SFF case.

i wish i could get a 9 3900x but that's not in my price situation ^^

i will see if the AIO is too loud for me and get the bigger one with 240mm but the problem is more like if it fits in my case.

I had a Air Cooler before which actually was not bad but i just love the look of an AIO and yeah haha

What case are you in? And if a 240 can fit it should actually be quieter than a 120 :)

theoretically the 240mm should be "half" as loud as the 120mm or at least like idk 30% quieter.

i got a Sharkoon TG5 RGB which is ok i guess but for my next PC i get a more premium case with some more storage.

I had to google it because I’ve never heard of that company ?. You can fit a 240 or 360mm radiator as long as they don’t exceed 5.5cm radiator and fan included in the front. Most fans are 25mm and most AIO radiators are around 25-27mm thick for reference. You’ll definitely be able to cool the 3600x in that case.

tomorrow i will check if the 120mm one would actually fit in the place where the 240mm would go and if it does, im good to go. But i must say for that Price it's really a good AIO
