Thinking of making an S4 mini Build for Party Games.

Hi,

Wanted some opinions on the Skyreach 4 Mini which is currently on pre-order. I've been interested in building an ITX computer to use for party games like Jackbox, Overcooked, Duck game, Cobalt, etc. and some Dolphin Emulation since moving my desktop around isn't really an option.

Since I do already own a switch, many of the games are available on that platform, but I don't want to purchase them again since I have the games in my Steam Library already, and building an ITX gives me the option of emulation with the Dolphin instead of having to bring along a Gamecube/Wii and a Switch if I'd ever have to decide between the two.

I currently have a small desktop build for running game servers with an:

-i5-6400

-H110M-HDS motherboard

-16gb ram

-SSD

-Noctua L9i cpu cooler (compatible with S4 based on this /r/sffpc guide)

To convert this to an S4 ITX build I would likely need an ITX motherboard, case fan and an ITX GPU to use in the case, but could re-use the RAM, SSD, CPU Fan and Processor:

-ITX Mobo? ($120 CAD)

-Case Fan ($20 CAD)

-GPU GeForce GTX 1660 Ti ($380 CAD) (could get less expensive GPU on Craigslist)

-S4 Mini ($265 CAD + shipping and possible duties)

-Power Supply compatible with S4

I think it would be a fun build, but it may be better to fore-go this idea and just upgrade my desktop once this years cards have been out for a bit and I can see the benchmarks of those cards, since I also want to upgrade from a 1080p to a 1440p @144Hz monitor and be able to run most games at higher levels of detail.

Mini ITX you say?

There are more cost effective case options if you're willing to sacrifice a small amount of volume

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

It really makes for a great portable case though, for only about fifty bucks

it needs to be small enough dude and you know it. Well not only it is 50 bucks but its also can have a normal PSU, iirc, which is nice in its own way with like what 2 3.5inch or 4 2.5inch drives etc.

actually it's pretty perfect for backpack size, it's the size of a shoebox or so.

but then there's also the node 202 for small and inexpensive
