Best Version of the 760?

speedx77x

Soon enough I'll be upgrading to the 760 from my 6850 and I just wanted to know which non-reference card would be the best out of these four. The main things that I want is silence, looks, and decent temps for when I OC. Here are the four that I was looking at:

1. Gigabyte 760

2. MSI 760

3. Asus 760

4. EVGA 760

-Just for some self-reassurance the 760 would be better than the 270x in my case right? I play Borderlands 2, Skyrim, and a lil' bit of BF4. I also do video and picture editing using sony vegas, camtasia, and photoshop cs6.

-edit I heard the MSI variant is really silent, and I think I maybe leaning towards that one

Personally, I'd go for the EVGA with ACX Cooler, I have the 780 and it's really awesome. The DC2 is great too, I love ASUS so it's a good choice too. They're all good choices, but these are my two picks.

IMO Just get a 770 it's just $70 more.

$70 more is a little bit out of my budget, but maybe.

Cheapest or which ever looks nicer to you of the MSI, GB, and Asus cards.

they're all close enough for them not to matter.

Really the cheapest and best looking to you. And the GTX 760 is also faster than the 270x.

The gigabyte. From tests I've seen, it runs the overall quietest and coolest

They are all non-reference and have beast cooling with advanced power design so just pick the better looking one

I would never get a Windforce cooler... I have the MSI one though and I love it.. The only gripe I have is the brown PCB...

For me, it would be between Asus and MSI.

I forget which GTX 760 I seen, but it has x2 760 GPUs on the same board. Just like how the 690 was. I think ASUS makes it, I could be wrong though. But that is the best one in my opinion.

EDIT: Here it is, its the ASUS ROG GTX 760 MARS 4GB

For 600 dollars I'd might as well get a 780ti or a 290x.

IMO the Direct CU2 has the ugliest cooler. Get the MSI or GIgabyte to get the best temps.

Yeah, for $100+ more. The cheapest I seen a 780 Ti is $700. And that GTX 760 is just x2 GTX 760s in one, so they based their price off of that. 2 GTX 760s will cost you around $600, so the price is accurate.

The MARS is pretty terrible, comes with the issues of SLI and putting all of those cores on to a single board. Single card > Dual GPU board

What issues? I have been running SLI in all my builds, and I never had a problem. I am even putting together another build as we speak, it will have 2-Way or maybe even 3-Way SLI 780 Ti's. But Like I said, I never had a problem with SLI before.
