Buying first ever laptop Macbook Air vs Asus Zenbook

I'm in need of a laptop so I've come down to choose between these two Asus zenbook 14 UX433FA and Apple Macbook Air (2019).  Here's the short version.

- never used Apple products

- I have Samsung S10e and Samsung Galaxy watch and I don't plan to switch to Iphone or Apple watch

- I will use it for general stuff, web, movies and Adobe Lightroom since I'm amateur photographer and this is the most important function.

- I heavily rely on Google photos, maps, drive etc

Both of them cost the same since they are on discount right now. The difference being that I get 256gb NVME SSD and i5 in ASUS and only 128gb/ dual core in Apple.

What do you guys think?

Intel i5-4460,Sapphire Nitro R9 390 8GB, 8GB RAM @ 1866Mhz, 120GB SSD + 1,5TB HDD, Asrock H81M-HDS, Fortron hyper 600w

It's going to depend on what you value in a laptop tbh.

Because of this, you're going to really appreciate the 2560x1600 16:10 display. It's not as color accurate at the MacBook Pros, but it's better than the ZenBook and has a lot more vertical space for web pages and photos.

You might rethink Apple if you watch Louis Rossmann on Youtube. From what he has been saying Apple has some QA issues that they need to work out. Issues with batteries, Keyboards, the cable that goes between the main board and screen.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Is macOS a must to you?

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight, battery life and display size? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradeable RAM?
