Im sick and tired of freakin 60hz.

Turtle Rig

So I got my monitor back in 2018 and they dont even sell it anymore.  The first one had red in the fonts, we returned it and I bought it again and it was all fine except the POS bezel on this is like it got damaged.  My luck I guess. That aside I have been using 4k monitor since 2014 when I got the first 4k monitor or one of the first from Sammy 28" 1ms 4k 60hz.  I can never go back to a lower resolution its nasty all big and sh*T.  But gaming I do at 1440p.  I eventually got my monitor in signature and its pretty solid except for the viewing angles situation.  That doesn't bother me too much.  Anyhow at that time I was happy to get a huge monitor compared to small 28" @ 4k you can barely read sh*T.

Anyhow my games are fluid and smooth but nothing like a 144hz monitor I bet.  Me I don't have much experience with 144hz Ive never used it.  But I remember I went to Fry's and windows was on it and the mouse was soo smooth and moving around shit or browsing and scrolling in neat , was not a blur.  Since then I have wanted 144hz.  One problem I need 40" as Im used to that now, and I can't go any lower.  There is no way Im buying a 1440p monitor , that is a downgrade.

I want for some people to shed light on this.  Will there ever be a 40" curved 144hz 4k monitor in the near future ?  Monitor tech is going so freakin slow.  But ya 144hz would change my life but I paid lots for this one, and I just turn vsync off there is tearing but whatever its really smooth and fast.  I need exactly what my monitor offers but in 144hz form.  Is there such thing. btw Curved is a must, once you go curved you never go flat my friends.  Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks and God Bless!

Just sit closer to the monitor?

I can buy a second monitor 27" 144hz no problem, except I have absolutely no where to put it. I don't have room unless I hang it from the ceiling. lol I mean I could try and find room but neither monitor would be facing me directly and what not.  I have to keep tilting my head left to right ya know.

How long have you been begging for a 40" 144Hz 2160p monitor for?

I don't remember, maybe 6 months ago.

how can you say monitor tech is going slow. its made some remarkable headway.. they just know that theres no market for 40" gaming monitors lol 24-27 144hz is where its a t

Becouse it is. very much so.

LCD hasnt improved its primary flaws in years.

VA still has viewing angle issues, still has slow pixel response

IPS still has slow pixels, still has IPS glow

TN stil has poor viewing angles, and still has poor contrast. And despite being faster, still doesnt have fats enough pixel response for 120hz+

All LCD monitors still have terrible uniformity.

FALD is still not mainstream

FALD still uses to few zones

LCD's primary flaws have been aroudn since day dot and havnt been fixed. Why? becouse no one is making enough noise about it, people are still buying $2000 monitors that have absolutely terrible uniformity, and advertise 1ms response times whilst having real response times much slower.

Ever since 4k 1st arrived i've been on the look out for a 2160p ultrawide, the only one that exists has sh*t uniformity just like every other monitor and slow pixel resposne. And the only 21:9 2160p TV's that exist are 105 friggin inches big.

OLED has been around long enough now for prices to come down significantly on 55" TV's yet the monitor space is barren whilst the phone and other 'small' display industry adopts more OLED with crazy high PPI.

i could go on, but the TLDR is, YES the monitors are developing at a snails pace compared to other display areas of the industry. And lets not even talk about the obscene prices for some of these 'monitors'.
