Too much BLB PG27UQ?

thedemoncowboy

Luckily this one has no dead pixels but BLB ... is this horrible or acceptable? I’m aware all come with ips Glow and possibly some BLB

Find some reviews or compare to others. For the high price it should hold up to what you expect it to based on other monitors in it's price range.

I'm still using a TN panel Viewsonic va2012wb from 14 or so years ago, I do not have that kind of budget so when I pay more money I expect better quality.

how does it look when you are using it normaly?
The BLB on my AOC AG271QG is quite bad until I boot into Windows, then even on a black background it looks mostly OK and I can never notice it otherwise.

My black background is definitely noticeable but not in games or anything else

mine is the same, only in a very dark movie you can notice that blb, and my cheap lg is alot worse than yours, if you really paid alot and you are not happy with the product, return it and get your money back or another unit

in general with ips is a common problem sadly, bur yes, sometimes it can be alot worse and be visible under normal operation, even on windows desktop can be visible

Change ur viewing distance, if the 'issue' changes, then its IPS glow. if it stays the same its BLB.

IPS glow can be mitigated some what by changing ur viewing distance and angle, while BLB cannot.

You could try ur luck with a replacement, its kind of lottery you may get a better one you may get a worse one.
