So i ordered a GT 1030 and got it this morning, I put it in, used DDU to get rid of AMD drivers and installed nVidia drivers. So the drivers installed from GeForce experience and i rebooted my PC. I didnt get option for nvidia control panel when right clicking the desktop, msi afterburner doesnt recognize card and geforce experience just says error 0x003 and to restart the computer. I went in device manager, i get error 35

My bios is up to date, altho i am using a very old computer(not as old as some people have with this GPU)
CPU: C2Q q8400 @ 2.66ghz
Motherboard: Fujitsu D2824-A1
RAM: 6gb 800mhz from random vendors but it works fine with old gpu
PC: Fujitsu Esprimo E5730

From the sound of it, no. I suppose you could try installing Linux and seeing if it works there and, if it does, reinstalling Windows and seeing if it works then, but if it doesn't work under Linux, either, then I really doubt there's anything to be done other than upgrading your PC.

Get rid of the GeForce Experience garbage and reinstall the latest driver (from the Nvidia website) without GeForce Experience.

GFE isn't worth the half assed install. Shadow Play is rather good though.

i knew it was too good for me too upgrade from hd6450, like why wouldnt there be a problem

dude you're overthinking this way too much, your pc should be able to handle your graphics card, just don't panic and try to look into the possible solutions.

Do you not have a cd or an sd card for linux since you don't have an USB? They should work too

I've got to ask...have you tried updating your BIOS?

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
