Looking for games that aren´t cpu bound (eGPU setup)

The_Hambo

Hi, guys :)

I´ve always wanted a nice gaming rig, but due to school and parents that hate gaming I really can´t. So I was given an xps 13 9360 (I´ll list specs below), which was stupidly expensive and weak.

With my own money I managed to get a Razer Core X Chroma (wanted the Ethernet, don´t judge me for spending $100 more than the regular), with an RTX 2060 (again, don´t judge for not getting the ?????, since I got it for $320).

Not even concerned about TB3 being the issue, since my CPU is the one that can´t keep up.

Games run well at 1440p but wont really hit 144fps for my 144Hz display, mainly due to the dual core CPU, so if you guys could recommend some games that aren´t so CPU intensive I´d appreciate it very much.

Config:

      Laptop:

                   - CPU: i7 7500U (Dual core, 4 threads, 2.7GHz Base/3.5GHz Turbo, but undervolted and can run over 3GHz all the time).

                   - GPU: HD 620 (haven´t even tinkered with it because eGPU takes over)

                   - Drive: 512GB Toshiba SSD

                   - RAM: 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1866MHz

                   - TB3 PCI.e lanes: 2, but doesn´t make much impact

       eGPU:

                   - Enclosure: Razer Core X Chroma using TB3

                   - GPU: EVGA RTX 2060 SC Dual Fan

       Display:

                   - Samsung C27HG70 (1440p at 144Hz, with HDR600) connected via DisplayPort 1.4, and laptop screen off.

For Honor loves GPU power. Even with my RX 580 it sat fully utilized at 1080p Max while my 8600k was at 20%.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

Bastion, Transistor (great music in both)

// some may be locked at 60fps by design but nevertheless they're beautiful games worth playing... high fps isn't everything, you don't need to have everything at 144fps.
