Also, should I get the windforce edition from gigabyte or the direct cu ii from saphire?

It should be between the GTX 770 and 280X not 760. The 760 is a tier below the 280X and 770. Get a 770 it's a lot cheaper than the ridiculously prices 280X(because of bitcoin and litecoin)

Get the Gigabyte 770, why is everyone suggesting the 280X it's $100 more and not worth it?

Wow that's some shit. Well if it's that much cheaper get the Gigabyte or MSI R9 280X then.

I guess i'm doing that... because of that weird pricing I didn't consider the 770 and only the 760...

Pricing on the 280X is absolutely insane right now. The Vapor-X that I bought back in October for $320 from newegg, is currently listed at $460, on newegg. At these kind of prices, I would get a 770.

I have actually kicked around the idea of selling my 280X at a profit and then ponying up the difference for a 780 non-ti.

Gaming Rig: Asus Z87 Pro, i5-4670k, EVGA Supernova 1000 P2, Corsair Carbide Air 540, NZXT Kraken X60, G.SKILL Ripjaws X (4 x 8GB @ 2133), 2 x EVGA GTX 980 SC, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, Samsung 840 Pro 256GB, 2 x HGST Deskstar NAS 4TB 7200rpm

Plex Server/Couch Gamer: Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5, i7 4790k, Corsair HX750, Fractal Node 804, Deepcool Captain 240 AIO, G.SKILL Sniper Series (4 x 8GB @ 1866), MSI Lightning 780, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, HGST Deskstar NAS 4TB 7200rpm.

The 280x is pretty much neck to neck with the 770.

The 760 isn't an appropriate matchup.
