Any Changes to part list?

Hell if you dont want to spend too much on a dedicated gpu you could always go for better integrated graphics...

I mean youd need to update the bios but for 30 bucks more you could get smt, 16 gigs of ram, and vega 11 graphics.

Hi,

So far this forum has been very helpful in guiding me in choosing the parts for my first PC build!

It's a budget build which I'm planning to upgrade in the future (more RAM + graphics card). BUT aside from adding more RAM/Graphics card, are there any changes anyone recommends making to this part list? Likewise, if anyone spots an incompatible part, please let me know :)

Bare in mind:

BUDGET

not for high intensive gaming but should play games to an average level.

Looks good to me, but I would see if you can find a motherboard with wifi, maybe shave a few bucks off it.

Otherwise it's a great budget setup.

If you DO plan on upgrading CPU and adding GPU later, it may behoove you to go with a stronger motherboard like the MSI Tomahawk, it's another $35 tho so it's up to you.

OP's build is actually better despite the $50 increase. I'd stick with his to be honest.

@NewBuilder01 The only thing I would suggest is spending an extra 30 bucks for a total of 16 gigs rather than 8. It goes a long way in terms of multi-tasking. Even minuscule things such as surfing the web, trust me.

I think @star_pilot475 build was better for gaming but that 1200 will for sure bottleneck the580 plus theres less storage and no wifi which is something i think the OP needed and added for a reason. I would take this list and step it down to a 570 4gb and put back the hdd and wifi card.

I didn't like the lesser CPU and DIY case. DIY cases, while cheap as hell, also feel cheap and most are heat traps. NO bueno. I do think OP should buy his GPU on Prime Day or something, the 570 does seem like a solid option if low budget is his thing.

Yeah didnt see the diy case. Even though there shouldnt be too much heat from these parts i think something like a TT Versa H15 would be a good option at 30 bucks, tho its only a matx case.

well, i can tell something about it

it's a double mag amp, which is in between a dc-dc and group for quality, because it needs a load, but is individually regulated

it's fine for like an athlon or 2200g system, but i would do dc-dc on anything more

Ok then do this...

that PSU isn't good quality at all. get a CX450 instead. ordering a bootkit from AMD or getting one of the MSI boards that support bios flashback is a less troublesome option.

and lots of people have used crapo logisys units for a couple days and it worked fine, does it change the fact that it's bad?

Welp I think the conclusion is you cant really make a better parts list than anyone has made on this without either:

A.) Raising the budget... or

B.) Skimping out on parts or quality of parts

We good? hopefully cause at this point the back and forth we've had is makin me do this...
