Has anyone ever seen this before ?

Hi all,

 

Im having problems with my display (Acer XR342ck [3440*1440p 75Hz IPS])

 

When i was playing a game yesterday my screen suddenly went like this {Image attached}. Does anyone know what this is.

 

When i now turn my pc back on everything powers up and then the monitor displays "no signal"

 

So far i have tried these steps to diagnose the problem:

 

- Restarted the pc multiple times

- Assumed gpu overclock was too high, booted into safe mode and deleted msi afterburner containing the overclock settings

- Assumed CPU overclock was too high, went into bios and reset everything to factory settings

- Assumed windows 10 ver. 1903 error, downloaded the latest bios from MSI (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X99A-XPOWER-GAMING-TITANIUM)

- Assumed windows error, reinstalled windows and preformed a system wipe in case it was a program causing it to not boot.Now running windows 10 ver. 1809

 

After these attempts, i booted into windows and then when windows automatically started installing basic drivers for the system and adjusting the resolution, the monitor again displayed "no signal"

 

At this point i have assumed that the display is broken when it defaults to its advertised resolution (3440 *1440 75Hz)

 

I have tried plugging in my laptop and the display works fine in another resolution.

 

Is there anything else i could try to get it back to its factory state

 

I would appreciate any feedback if at all possible

VRAM OC fail, usually

What you're looking at is artifacting.
Telltale signs that your card is dying if it's doing it while not under load (ergo not heat related, assuming you maintain your system), and you're at stock clocks.

oh yeah Nvidia GDDR6 cards are somewhat prone to artifacting for no reason when new. You're unlucky there.
