Ram, CPU, Motherboard...

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

It should be fine.

Motherboard and CPU are compatible, but you could do slightly better on the motherboard department.  That board is OK but if you'll eventually decide to upgrade to Ryzen 3rd generation (3xxx cpus) that motherboard isn't so great.

Gigabyte B450 AORUS M has a bit better features (better sound card, hdmi and dvi connectors for integrated graphics, 7.1 sound, more sata ports, better spacing between pci-e x16 slots allowing you to install a double height video card without obstructing the pci-e x1 slot, heatsink for m.2) : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aorus-B450-AORUS-Socket-S-ATA/dp/B07G36DF29/

Ryzen processors love high frequency memory, please try to get at least 3000 Mhz, ideally 3200 Mhz.

Basically, that memory kit is compatible, but it's a bit slow at 2666 Mhz and it's not a very good match with Ryzen processors.

Here's a 3000 Mhz kit that should work and is about the same price : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-Tactical-BLT2C4G4D30AETA-PC4-24000-288-Pin/dp/B01HDUVNQY/

And a note: if you're gonna use a dedicated video card, Ryzen 3 1200 is around 20 pounds cheaper: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-YD1200BBAEBOX-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B0741DN383/
