question with dual displays

so i just set up a secondary monitor.  When playing a game in full screen i wana be able to use my other monitor to do stuff without my main monitor exiting the game and minimize it.  they are differnent resolutions.  main is 1440 and the secondary is 1080p running display port and hdmi.  can i do this?  thanks
