Extend bluetooth range on Sony WH1000XM3

Klovnious

Hey,

I recently bought the Sony headset which I use while on travel. I decided to try it on my computer at home and it sort or worked. I got connection to the computer but audio quality was very poor. I need to get a stronger bluetooth signal from the computer so I can roam around the apartment. 10-30m would be a nice range.

Any suggestions?

You should change the bluetooth mode from best quality to best stability, that should add a fair bit of range. Also try to have the laptop in the middle of the apartment.

Idk if this still works:

I think the issue lies more on the laptop side. The BT antenna may be weak.

From my experience, I can walk with these headphones away from my phone on the other side of the apartment though 5 walls without a hiccup.

However, I use the SONY LDAC codec which is available on my phone, I haven't tried the others which may be used by your laptop.

Changing the BT mode for Best Stability may be required with your laptop as was suggested above.

Will try soon. If this doesn't work, what would be the next step?

So changing this did not really help.

Audio still cuts out. Was wondering if I need something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-8Bf6Bjsjc
