In the Vancouver BC area, and I'm looking for bigger computer desks, but it seems every site I look at, they're kinda small (at least for my needs).

I'd want 74-98" long x 30" wide or wider, 1"+ thick--with or without cabinet drawers on the ends and no back board. I guess I could just put together an Ikea style desk like the guy in the video, but i'd rather not. So, any stores to recommend?

I just went to my local hardware store and bought a nice wooden plate. After that I bought some metal legs from amazon (electronically adjustable so I can sit / stand). That way I spent less than 200$ and have the perfect desk for me. Maybe that is an option here?

What the heck is a "wooden plate" I've heard of people using doors before, but I dunno what a plate is? Truthfully, I'm very busy most of the time and I don't want to invest the effort putting something together.

sorry my english is not that good. I just mean a big piece of wood that has the correct measurement. That way you can get real wood and not some piece of junk that breaks easily. If you go there and tell them what you want to do they will have the right wood for you.

It took me around 20 minutes to assemble everything. You only have to drill in the screws.

Can you link me to the legs you bought? You didn't want drawers?

I bought Flexispot E2W (in germany so a link would not help you). But if it does not need to have adjustable height you can just buy the legs from ikea.

For drawers I bought a rolling drawer cabinet from ikea and put it under the desk.

The desk tops are shorter than what I have right now. You'd also need to reinforce the middle or those desk tops will bow in the middle.
