New Keyboard

My K70 RGB D key is starting to not work or work too much and I hate typing on MX reds after trying MX blues. I don't game anymore and do more typing anyways so I am looking for something that focuses on the keyboard itself and not flashy RGB with gaming software. I have a leopold TKL with blues and love it and would buy a second one but sorta want to just try different brands for fun. My budget is $200 and want something durable, so PBT, and is made for typing. I also want it to be blank if possible. I have looked at the DAS keyboard ultimate that's blank but at $170 with ABS keys and a flimsy body it's not really appealing. Filco and Ducky have some boards that look nice. Otherwise I am not 100% sure what else is out there. I am open to other brands of switches if they are similar to blues or provide a nice typing experience. Thanks

Well, red switches are linear switch while Browns clearly have and actuation point and make some noise, but nothing compared to blues. You should go try some and see what you think. 

 

I use them in my G610 Orion and they feel pretty good. It's a very minimalist keyboard with great spacing and white LEDs. The font on the keycaps isn't very great though. I suppose it could be worse though.

I've a Logitech G710+ with the MX Browns. They're some very light switches, but they have a rather subtle tactile point that is quite difficult to detect if you slowly push the switch down. Actually quite easy to notice when touch typing though. The light weight and tactile feel actually make these very good for gentle touch typists.

Clickier by far, yes. But they have other advantages too. They feel smoother, there's less key wobble, and they are a click bar design instead of a click jacket like blues, meaning they don't suffer from hysteresis.   

 

But it sounds like you want maximum click so maybe Kailh Box Navy would be even better for you. Same thing as a Jade but louder and heavier.
