High CPU Usage when PC is on idle for 15-20 minutes, but becomes responsive again when I start using it again, but only after 20 or so seconds of lag

I’ve had this issue for a while and it’s annoying cause when this happens, it crashes EVERYTHING. But when i start moving my mouse again, everything comes back to life, and whatever process was using that much CPU, suddenly will go back down after like 20 seconds of waiting...

I’ll leave a game on idle for 10-20 minutes to get food or something, and I come back to it crashed. This is really annoying as I cant leave my PC to download something for a while as I will come back to the entire PC lagging, and the thing that I wanted to download, also lagging, and possibly crashed.

After 10-20 mins, everything will lag the hell out... pic below for a little info, and to add to it all, in the Details tab, when this happens, the main culprits above it all are svchost.exe and the Razer Synapse apparently.

Pls help haha, idk what to do...

Specs:
  • i7 6700K
  • GTX 980
  • 16gb 3200Mhz Ram

Seems like a virus, and more specifically, some sort of crypto miner running in the background that's set to activate when you're not using your computer.

print "Hello World!" ("Hello World!")

I third the notion of it being a crypto virus.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

It probably wont. Backup all non-executable files into a ZIP directory (easy way to contain them), reinstall Windows, scan the zip file with a few different anti virus' (Kaspersky free trial, Malwarebytes, Avast. Don't leave them all on the system, only allow one to be on at a time). Consider all executables or anything in the root of the C:\ drive to be null.

From now on, take regular backups and hope you learned your lesson!
