Laptop for Work and casual gaming

Hey, so I'm looking to purchase a laptop that I can use for work and routinely play casual games from time to time, nothing too heavy.

I'd like something that has pretty decent performance and durability as I would like to use it for a couple of years at least and wouldn't want to feel to too far behind.

Portability is not too much of an issue as I'll be using it at home or at the office though I do travel form time to time so I don't want anything that would weigh too much.

Similarly while the batter life is not my main concern I would like it to last a couple of hours at least in case I get stuck in a meeting or sorts.

I am indifferent to the 2 in 1s so thats not really an issue either.

I'm not really interested in a gaming laptop

My budget would be under $2000(USD)

Thanks

Dell XPS 15 or Lenovo Thinkpad X1

I actually had the Dell XPS 15 with the 8950HK CPU / 4K Touch screen a few months ago and lemme tell you man, this laptop has one of the best looking screens I've ever looked at. Part of it due to the fact that because it's a touch screen, so it is glossy, which has much brighter colors and sharper images vs the anti-glare ones you find on most laptops. Additionally, it was very portable (slim in design) yet packed a lot of power under the hood. Not to mention it's insane 7 - 9 hour battery life.

I got mine from HIDevolution and got it with their thermal upgrade (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut + Fujipoly Extreme Thermal Pads) to ensure I don't get any overheating issues.
