Turning on/off intergrated graphics

Hey everyone, i have a weird question, hopefully solvable. I have a dual monitor setup but i lack a second (DP) cable for my GTX 970 so i have one HDMI in the card and one HDMI in the motherboard. my question has two parts. First, when i play games, does having the second display with onboard graphics on decreases performance and if so how much could that be ( my CPU is i5 6600 and when i play games i have little to no apps running in the background ). And second is there a way, to turn off the display with the onboard when gaming with the discrete one ? Thanks in advance.

1. Not by much, probably less then when you use your discrete to drive both

2. If you're smart enough you can code your own solution ?
