Affordable Phone

Mr_Argon

Hi all

Recently I've been having some problems with my phone. I am looking for a new phone, I'm not actually going to buy a new one just yet, I'm only curious to see what specs I should be aiming for. About 400NZD (264USD) would be the max, only push that if its worth it. My current phone is a Vodafone Smart Ultra 7, 2 years old now

Can a moderator please move this to the right section, I'm on a phone and didn't realise its in the wrong one

Interested in refurbished/used phones? I think you get the biggest value here because new phones lose it very quickly. You can get last years smartphone for a bargain especially if you are not set on a specific smartphone. Hard to give advice since the used market is so different.

The xiaomi pocophone would be a very good option at this price, it has flagship specs from last year and costs $300 currently on amazon but I am very sure you can get a deal for it somewhere.

Realme 3.

It's dual camera already. The camera quality is very good (it turns backlight photos into good ones), I felt as if I was a professional photographer when I went to an island for a vacation and took incredible photos using this :D the battery is very long lasting (around 4230mAh). Very budget friendly as well. The front camera is also amazing. No need to worry about backlights. You will still look good in backlight photos using this smartphone.

iPhone 7 maybe?

I have that phone and it’s pretty much flawless. The best thing about it is if you have to replace the battery or screen you can do it for very cheap at any local phone shop. Compared to a more budget Android phone, I think you’ll get a better software experience. The speakers on the iPhone 7 are amazing too. The iPhone 7 holds its value really well too.

However, a newer Android phone will have a much bigger, nicer screen.
