I want to build a new computer

Do you advise me to buy i9 9900k + Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WiFi

or wait for new ryzen CPU

and what is the best for years

Wait for Zen 2, their 12 core 24 thread mainstream cpu will be pretty amazing. Especially considering it can reach 4.5Ghz on all cores at 1.35v

It depends on the task basically, but they will be about the same. Except the Ryzen cpu will last you longer due to its core count, and it is cheaper than the 9900k

Probably not.  12c Ryzen will be $499, 9900K is $489 or so?  At the end of the build, you're off minimal amounts.

Well yeah, was thinking you meant his question between the 9900K and the upper tier which will be the direct competitor.

 

I'd recommend an 8c or 6c as well, to save a good bit, like you mean.

He was saying voltage and all core turbo boost which we don’t know yet. It could run on less than 1.35 volts for all we know.
