First Rig!

6xGcL.jpg

Cable management went okay for my first build i think, considering the not-so-much clearance at the back of my case.

What do you guys think?

That power supply is a bit too much... 750W... even 2x 760s could run on a 650W... Still a good build, though.

there is nothing wrong with  a larger power supply  and not something you should skimp on  750w is a good choice.

hey good job cable management is fine just make sure you have adequete air flow and that everything is connected properly, also one very important factor don't bend your cables too much.

otherwise good job !

i approve of your tasteful choice in casing! nice choice, just swap out the stock cooler and tidy the cables a tiny bit and you're golden, nice job, as for the cooler, pretty much anything aside from stock will do, even a cooler master 212 evo just not stock :P, where did you get your hands on a 2500k?.

EDIT: maybe add a ssd in the future if you ever have the money to spare, i promise ssd's are fantastic.

I pulled it from a prebuilt i had been using prior to this i got a couple of years ago :)

Yep. If you pass all those cables into the back panel and tie them there it will look a lot neater and help air flow.

And yes, get that stock cooler out of there. A decent aftermarket one will only cost  about £25.00

Have a look at this.

Nothing to see here - move along.

If you mean on the left of the first picture it's the Razer Nostromo, and unfortunaterly it only comes in blue. Its basically just a keypad. On the right is just my mouse and headset :)

i totally agree with replacing the stock cooler my dad just upgrade to i7 haswell(do not know the model number) and the stock cooler sounds like a jet on take off next to mine even when overclocked

For a first time build, you did a fantastic job!

But I do concur with the "Replace Stock Cooler" commentary, as the stock cooler just doesn't look right in a custom build anymore.
