As far as I know, the 120hz 1440p panels haven't even hit market yet, and when they do they're going to be priced so high that only VERY enthusiast people are going to buy them.

@ShutUpNicotine if you have the money, and want a new system now go for it. You can be waiting "3 to 5 months" forever if you want the newest and greatest. Things are always improving.

Broadwell to be honest probably isn't worth the wait. I wouldn't buy something as soon as it comes out, especially a new memory standard like DDR4. Wait until they iron out the kinks, especially if you do work on the system.

Wouldn't want it to have issues requiring RMA, and being without a system.

Stick with the i7 if that's what you want. I've put an i7 in my last 2 systems. Do I need it? Highly unlikely. But it's nice to know you're not bottle necked in the future if you decide to do something that needs it.

Plus it's what, maybe $120 more? That's nothing to a build like this. It's easier to spend the money now, rather than replace later on.

2.5K 120Hz monitors have been around for a while.

They're not quite "true" 120hz panels. They're 60hz, and if you're lucky you'll get one that over clocks as high as 120hz.

They come pre-clocked at 120Hz from what i've seen, a few people on the forum has them and I know a few who have them, they all have ran at a real 120Hz out of the box, no overclocking at all.

It says right on the website they come clocked at 60hz out of the box.

well from what I've seen, the ones I've seen have all ran at 120Hz, but if you don't want to spend $700-$800 on the 120Hz asus one coming out, why not spend as much as a regular 1440P monitor and maybe get that refresh rate?

Because the Asus one has GSync...which is why it's so highly priced. :)

That's how i have always seen it with tech. You buy the latest and greatest at the time and it's old technology and something is better in a year anyway

Thanks man i'll look into those.

I'd stick with what you have. The cost of the WD is a lot higher and you'll see better performance from what you have at half the cost.

Alright so i am having second thoughts on the Noctua cooler and am thinking about the Corsair H100i. Some said it will cool better which of course means i can overclock a little more. Is it true that i can get better cooling out of the H100i over the NH-D14?

The h100i cools better than the NH-D14 but it is considerably louder.

Is the pump very loud? Because i was going to put some Noctua NF-F12 fans on the radiator anyway because a lot of people said the stock fans were junky and loud

The pump isn't supposed to be loud but it's not uncommon for it to make a fair amount of noise.

Is there a similar closed loop water cooler with a quieter pump you know of? I've never even touched water cooling whatsoever before so i figure this will be a good start

I'm not sure. From memory, maybe the Kraken x60. Again, I'm not sure. I'd suggest asking in the water cooling section for more in-depth help.

I'll have a look at the Kraken and see what the water cooling section has to say. Thanks

The Kraken X60 will fit in the 750D. It is more expensive than the H100i. But according to http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/924?vs=914, at load it is quieter and cooler than an NH-D14.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
