1GB of RAM will make the system a nightmare to run.

I think I can beat that...

ANTEC VSK-3000   $24.99

ROSEWELL RD-400 PSU   $31.99

TEAM ELITE 8GB RAM DDR3 1333 $56.99

G2120 $69.99

ASROCK-B75M-DGS R2.0 1155 $54.99

238.95 USD

All of the software was free from Oracle (RHEL 6.4; Apps 12.1.3; RDBMS 11.2.0.3)

Also, the price on some of those items have increased since my purchase of them in August 2013.  The CPU is about $20 more now and so is the RAM.  Not sure why that is.

But I cheated by reusing a 2TB Toshiba HDD I had lying around, that would've bumped it up another $100.  Also, it is a headless server so integrated graphicss and no monitor helped keep cost low.

I've since added another HDD, a Noctua fan, and an extra NIC.

*edit:  gaming on this would be a laugh though.  Although I've heard that the G2120 has been used without dedicated graphics as a gaming solution... and it supposedly was not horrible.  YMWV

How much Fps in Crysis 3 on Ultra, I'm going to say 3 max

I would say 1/2 of a screen.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Yea but nowadays being on the LGA 775 platform + having a Radeon 5000 series graphics card is what i'd consider pretty similar
