IPS white glow?

Hi, 

 

Bought Alienware 3440x1440p 120Hz monitor today and Vs my ROG Swift 3440x1440 100hz it seems like it's having issues as weird white glow from an angle. Both are IPS and viewing angles on Alienware are not good at all. What could it be?

It's hard to tell by photos but that does look like an excessive IPS glow specially for such a high end panel, might want to check the return policy on this one.

That is nasty,  Slottr did he get a lemon ?  Or does he need to go into the monitors settings and fix it.  Perhaps the brightness or something else in the settings is bad.  Could he fix it with nVidia or AMD color settings and take down the brightness or mess with contrast etc ?

There is no backlight bleed. It only looks like this, if you look at an angle.

I tried changing the settings on the monitor etc, but still same effect.

Fixed.

 

Brightness was cranked to 75 and contrast too. Reduced it to match other one and it's fine now.

Yeah reduced contrast and brightness and it's much better.
