issues with new i9 9900k setup

neno1204

Hi everyone,
I have some issues with my brand new setup. Here is the list:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming rev. 1.0

CPU: i9 9900K

Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62

RAM: Hyperx DDR4 3000Mhz 2x16

PSU: Chieftec CTG-750C

SSD: Kingston 480GB SA1000M8/480G

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070

The issue occurs only with Blender so far. When I open a scene and start to render after one minute or so the pc would freeze for a couple of seconds. When that happens the nzxt cam software freezes and loses connection to kraken and my setup profiles for fans and pump would stop. HWMonitor also freezes but the render continues. If I cancel the render nzxt and hwmonitor would unfreeze. I ran cinebench and aida64 and this is not happening.

Any ideas?
Thank you

If Aida64 stability test with GPU ticked can run for 30min to 1 hour straight without freezing or giving any errors or crashing then your hardware is fine.  This is a specific issue with Blender and possibly NZXT Cam software.  Can you run your liquid cooling without using the CAM software or would the pump and fans stop ?  If not give Blender a try without the NZXT software running and HWmonitor as well.

Does you ram appear in my computer properties / bios.

How complicated is your the blender scene? Have you rendered this scene on a machine previously?

What your describing typically suggested your machine does not have enough Ram, IK 32GB seems llike more then anyone would need but thats not always the case with rendering.

Does any pop up come up under the top bar during these pauses?

Regards,
Robin

@Turtle Rig
Aida64 stability test with GPU ticked runs fine for 1 hour straight, glad to hear that. Pump and fans do not stop but fall back to idle speed I guess. I can set up a fixed speed profile and run that when rendering that would be an option. Tried to minimize cam and close hwmonitor but it happens again.

@RobinD

Yes the ram appears in computer properties / bios.
The scene is bmw demo scene, or any other demo scene or benchmark.
No popups appear.

Can you confirm your pump speed ? and your liquid temp ?  Also I suggest to run as little hardware info apps as possible.  Don't run HWmonitor and if you can get away with not running NZXT do that as well.  Also just for curiosity what OS you using ?

I can think of something else you can try.  Grab DDU "Display Driver Uninstaller" and run it in safe mode and do a clean and restart;  then back up in normal mode install the latest nVidia drivers from their site, and let us know what happens.

Updated windows to 1809, it was 1803. Now it works flawless, I did not suspect at windows for this kind of behavior.
Thank you guys for your effort.
