Imgur is safe to use?

Yes, people use it all the time to host images. 

Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen R7 3700X @4.4Ghz, GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 XT, RAM: 32 GB (2x 8GB Trident Z Royal + 2x 8GB TForce Vulkan Z) @3000Mhz, Motherboard: ASRock B550m Steel Legend, Storage: 1x WD Black 1Tb NVMe (boot) + 1x Samsung 860 QVO 1Tb SSD (storage), Case: Thermaltake Core V21, Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

I use imgur for most of my pics I need for sharing around

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I'd say its as malware free as service that big can be. There are breaches, ofc. Just like what happened with CCleaner. Just remember that you need to download or run something to get malwares from any site. Browsers don't do that automatically. Do your images get shared or used without your consent, most likely yes. I haven't read Imgur's ToS to see what their policy on that is. So probably not best place to host your private images.
