MSI A88X gaming boards now avaiable, atx and m-atx

brownninja97

MSI_A88X-G45_GAMING_Assassins_Creed_Libe

MSI_A88XM_GAMING_01.jpg

ATX= MSI A88X-G45

M-atx= MSI A88xm

The specs of these boards are pretty much the same however you get assassins creed liberation HD with the G45 which is nice, if you want it with the matx board then too bad.

These boards have killer and intel lan, they both have audio boost, they have the fancy usbs which charge when the pc is off, they have the military standard 4 stuff on them so they will survive a 5.56mm round to the heatsink, they have oc genie and click biso 4(dont update your mobo software with their updater as it tends to have issues).

Im not sure about the pricing of this as of yet

I've done seen a few areas that say these are 'available now', but have yet to see them available anywhere. Checked on Newegg, Amazon, NCIX. They were revealed at CES and were said to be being released late February then. Articles I've seen saying available now were fairly recent so I was hoping maybe they came out early. /sigh

They might have encountered a problem like a bad batch, it could mean MSI are trying to be quite about it to avoid people getting angry at them

They should of came out with a GD65 version of this motherboard.

Once there is a apu that can utilize that ferocity then a gd65 will come at the moment the best kaveri apus arent even that amazing in cpu performance and arent extreme overclockers, if the so called 8 core apu comes then its likely a gd 65 or gd 80 will come soon after

Seems like the right thing to do. But never heard of a GD80.

They are the extreme boards from msi, i think they have been replaced with the M and X style boards.

Most of the A88X boards I've seen are only 4pin for the APU/CPU. Nice to see more 8pin boards, especially m-atx. Would still love to see someone bring out an 8pin mini itx.
