Game to test difference between two builds

I'm swapping my current laptop for a gaming desktop and I'd like to check the difference in power and experience between the two, however I cannot compare them side by side.

I tried Unigame Heaven benchmarking, it does tell me raw information, but I don't feel anything hands-on.

What type of application would you use to make truly existing performance difference most experiencable?

If you want real benchmarks, try Cinebench R15, and Unigine Superposition.

As for games, Skyrim Classic is good for GPU, Arma 3 is good for testing CPU single threaded (since it's a heavily single threaded game), and GTA 5 is good for testing both.

Emulators like Dolphin and PJ64 are good for testing RAM latency since the emulators to a LOT of ops within system RAM, and TW3 on Ultra is good for stressing the systems.

Sorry about my spelling sometimes. My $1200 laptop has a $2 keyboard.

Planetside 2 is very CPU demanding. This should give you an Idea in that category.

There are a number of ways such as

use the benchmark tool from this site
https://www.userbenchmark.com/

This provides a quick easy to use tool that scales your system and gives you a nifty score you can use to compare both systems with

Use benchmarks that are supplied with the game
i use total war warhammer for example and mass effect andromeda couple with afterburner

You can use afterburner too coupled with the kombustor gpu benchmark
