I realize this, as I am not a one-sided arse who believes the US is the best place ever.

 

Too bad if I wanted to buy outside the US, I would still pay more than retail would be here. I would have to deal with high shipping costs, the possible loss of a warranty and import taxes. I know what I am talking about...

 

For me to buy a GTX 780Ti or an R9 290X here would cost around $700. If I bought it from overseas from a retailer like Scan.co.uk or PCCaseGear, it would cost closer to $1000. We have it good here when it comes to prices, but the common retailer is still shafting us since cryptocurrency mining became a thing.

That price must be fake and euros converted in $ are never true. its more like 150$ = 150€ at least in hardware lol

and according to performance, it should hover around 650ti boost price. so 150$

It's the price of that retailer converted to US dollars. When it is brought to the US, it will cost less in the US than it does there, as most cards end up being. It all depends on where the price is coming from.

 

For example, a GTX 780Ti in the UK costs close to $950. But in the US, it costs $699.
