the xbox cpu was a customized intel chip, I dont think any version of windows would run on it. Also the GPU would have no drivers to work either. If the system is shot, like Curious Pineapple said, hack it up and just build a PC in it. (those old XboXs had some decent room, and there are some small components on the market now.)

Windows CE ran on it, mouse worked but with no cursor and the project was abandoned. The original OS for it was Windows 2000, it would be possible to get a full W2K install running on it with access to the kernel source, and merging it with the xbox specific changes (such as lack of PCI bus).

I wish Microsoft would release the kernel source for 2k/XP and honestly open source win9x just for shits and giggles.

Their work is iterative though, they'd be giving away a huge amount of the Windows API (and the source for potential security holes) making the job of emulating/translating applications a lot easier.

I have the source for the Xbox kernel somewhere, and I know the SP1 source for 2k was leaked but never found that one.

That was my point ;) I'm not developer by any means, I've taken a C# and C++ course, but by no means would I know what to do with that code. I just want the real devs to have access to it. the React OS team would probably orgasm if they had that source lol

No. There is no graphics driver for the Xbox gpu on Windows.

It was a GeForce 4, so likely would work with the windows drivers from the time, Windows however won't run on it so no way to find out for sure.
