My laptop runs really slow and the disk is at 100% almost all the time

Denyl

Hello,

I use an new MSI GF63 buyed three months ago. After I installed the OS (Windows 10) I had problems with it freezing, taking three whole minutes to boot and almost all the time I have the disk at 100% in task manager.

I did some tests and here I have the results and an screenshop from Task Manager..

I don't really know what to do at the moment because I tried all I found on internet/

My system uses an Seagate BarraCuda st1000lm048-2e7172 HDD.
Do you have an idea how I could make my system work faster?

Right there. Disk at 100%. I've had that problem so many times with laptops and HDDs. I hate to say this after you installed windows but, get a SSD.

I'm gonna go find my own tech support...

That HDD is horribly slow even for HDDs.

Try getting an SSD and then clean installing windows again.

Alright, I see. The problem is that if I want to change it would need to wait 20 days for a service to change it and I need the laptop almost every day. Is there a way to make it work a little better without changing the hdd?
