Hey so I'm looking for a new mouse, not cause my current one is bad but now I'm in uni halls I have a smaller desk than I'm used to and there's a lot more stuff on it than I have at home and my cable is proving problematic as it keeps dragging and getting caught on stuff so I'm thinking of upgrading to a wireless mouse. I'm not looking to spend more than about £70 and I'd like something good for larger hands. I currently use a SteelSeries Rival 100 and it's quite comfortable for me. I need forwards and back buttons and some tasteful RGB would be nice but I'm not married to the idea. I'd been looking at the Logitech G703 but can't figure out if I need the PowerPlay mat or not, or if there are just better options. I really quite like the look of the new SteelSeries Rival 650 Wireless but it's a little over budget.

Logitech G903. Maybe a little pricey for you, but there is no better wireless mouse at there.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Corsair Harpoon Wireless? Great and cheap

My suggestion also.  Similar weight and size to your current mouse, and fits your budget.  There are a lot of nice features included like the new Slipstream technology which provides sub-1ms response, and up to 30ft of range.  You're based in the UK, so there should be some on display in a local retailer for you to see how it feels in the palm of your hand.  Let me know if you have any questions.

They're about the same price here in the UK so I'm just wondering if one is going to offer me more than the other or is it really just down to the design of the mouse?

Down to the design..g703 follow g403 shell it has very safe comfortable shape.

The original harpoon is a disaster especially in sensor and build quality..no idea about the wireless version though.

I have a harpoon and a M65, why is the harpoon a disaster?

The shape isnt the most comfortable overall and zy would agree with me especially the button placement..you could accidentally click the dpi button.

The mouse also rattle a lot and it use PMW3320 whereas other mice in similar price use PMW3330 equivalent..

I see. I have a smaller hand, so its fine for me, I don't use the DPI button anyways. (imo sniper buttons are useless)

It was 20$ when I got it, and not bad.

yea logitech uses cheap switches for their gaming mice which double click after a while

Cheap? It's the same D2FC Omron switches that most brands use. Razer, Some SS, Logitech, and  some asus mice use these or modified versions of the D2FC switch. Omron switches are often regarded as the best mouse switch.
