rx570 8GB OC vs rx480 8GB Reference?

gogogame

Last year my old rx480 card goes dead thankfully it is still in warranty but the warranty company said there are no replacement and they gives me 2 options

1) Get the money refund = warrant left

or

2) Get another replacement card which is, MSI rx570 8GB OC

I pick the second choice since first choice (since money refund can't even buy 1050ti at that time)

The company claim that 570 is slightly better than 480..

is this statement true?

Yes, the RX 580 is like a factory overclocked RX 480

It's faster by some percentage (I think under 5-10% in most games) and consumes a bit more power (~ 225w vs ~ 165w)

Should be faster or just as good as a GTX 1060 in most games.

The RX 570 is the same as an RX 470, it's a cut-down 480/580 card. An RX 570 is not better than an RX 480.

You mean better power efficiency right?

I'd kind of feel cheated in such a situation, the rx570 is weaker then the rx480, especially if we compare in both cases the 8 gb models, the difference can be depending on the game by even over 10 or 15 fps... Which company is that? Because i want to stay away from them.

Edit PS: basically any decent company that respects itslef if they don't make a product anymore the replacement should be the model they have that its in the current class as the product you got, and that's the rx580 not the 570.

Personally I'd just get my money back and put some extra into getting a new gpu while expressing my dissapointement of not ever wanting anything to do with the said company.

Unfortunately, no we can't get around with them because every thing that they imported everything saving for non-memory related (like HDD SSD RAM FlashDrive etc.) So almost every component have warranty by them. The things you can do by also have warranty from the shop you bought it from (this won't apply with second-handed tho)

Many company here have bad customer service, they're like hiring some random people to do the job they don't even know about performance difference between them like, it's same 8GB model and newer gen! it should be better!....

Think back about that I was pretty mad too but I guess getting a working GPU back still worth more than the money that can barely buy 1050 (in my country)

Oh, and that said company is in my country ONLY
