I'm going to build my first PC in a couple of months with an FX-8350, and I'm torn between motherboards.  I think I've narrowed it down to three and want you guys to help me out.

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

ASRock 990FX Extreme9

Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

I'm kind of leaning towards the Gigabyte board but noticed that it doesn't have SATA3.0 and was wondering if that really makes a difference.  I would be using an SSD for the OS along with a HDD for storing everything else.  If you would like to recommend a different board as well then go right ahead.  I plan on possibly doing an overclock in the future also, so it needs to have that capability.

AMD FX-8350   -   Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3   -   ADATA XPG 8GB   -   Asus GTX 780   -   Fractal Design Define R4   -   Corsair CS650M

Kingston 120GB SSD and Seagate Barracuda 1TB   -   CM Storm QuickFire Rapid   -   Razer DeathAdder 2013

Gigabyte do have SATA3.0 They just call it by the bandwith of SATA3.0 which is 6Gbp/s

Personally I'd go with the ASUS Sabertooth or Gigabyte, avoid the ASRock with at least 4 barge poles of distance.

I would go with the Sabertooth. I've heard issues with the other two boards, and with the Sabertooth, only that people switch to it because it's a better overclocker than others.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
