What’s the best bang for the buck upgrade?

Hello everyone. So I’ve got a really super crappy system but I’ve been looking into an upgrade. 

 

Here’s what i found. Let me know if this is gonna be the best for the price

 

CPU- Ryzen 3 1200 $50

motherboard- MSI A250m $50

ram- ballistix sport 4gb (2 of these for yet another $50) 

 

Then I might get a cheap case and an ssd plus some extra fans for the case

 

The total comes to about $250 

 

Is this good for the price or can you guys work your magic and find me an even better system for cheaper? I do have a decent graphics card and psu already.

The CPU is newer and slightly better.

SIGNIFICANTLY better motherboard

More RAM, and I would assume faster as well.

Dang! ok thanks man this looks pretty sweet! That ram is faster too I forgot to put in that’s it’s 2666mhz

 

this total price doesn’t include a case, an ssd and some fans but that's still pretty good

you can get that for 120-150 more. depending on what you want in a build.

If you went with the cheapest case you could find, and an Inland 120 or 250GB SSD; you're looking at approx $40-50 more.

Depending on case, you could be looking at another $20-30 on fans to fill the rest of the slots (I recommend Arctic F12 PWM PSTs for cheap fans, the 5-pack is a great value).

Here's a better estimate on price. 
This is the cheapest ATX mid-tower case on pcpp

Cheap SSD (they are pretty good ones tho)

And the case has enough fan slots to make use of all 5 fans in the Arctic F12 value pack.

I'd choose some even more basic 2400 rams to save 10 bucks or so, if the budget is tight.

Put that into slightly better storage or case or even peripherals would bring a nicer experience I think.
