Trouble with fans

(This might be under the wrong subject sorry if it is)

 

I’m currently planning to build a desk for my laptop much like linuses “cleanest setup” the problem I’m currently having is fans. Because it’s a laptop and the Egpu I’ll be using might not have a fan header the fans are going to have to be USB powered yet I still want to use normal PC fans and control the speed of them.

 

Do you have any suggestions to overcome this problem?

You could use something like this, either that or just not use computer fans use some other fan.

I would be open to none PC fans

i googled "usb to pc case fan" then clicked on "images" and got a lot of different options.

 

get a "USB powered" hub if needed. and google "usb fans"  lots of options

 

googled "case fan controller"  and multiple options out there.  many of them take one and split it into 2 or more fans being controlled. some of them have additional heat sensors and control fan speeds. 

 

sorry no actual direct help for you, just to many options to go through. hopefully it will give you some leads to stir you in a direction that will work for what you want.
