Photos and videos look bad on PC?

Hey, so I do photography and videography with my DSLR. They look great but when I get them onto my computer screen they look horrible. The photos are 24MP and the videos are 4k. But on my PC they look nothing like they should. My monitor is a 32 inch LG ultrawide 1080p 21:9

You should probably calibrate your monitor.

Can you share some pictures? there might be other reasons for that, often something will look much better on camera vs real life. Also, are you looking at raw files or jpg? Can you describe the problem a bit? is the image unshap? are the colours off?

It's hard to describe, they look blurry, flat, distorted, and just bad all aroundChameleon.JPG.1d14dd866c8fc3dc7ab3cbb513795000.JPG . I'll upload a pic.

It also depends on your viewer and the colour profile it uses. This is why I gave up on Lightroom 2 way back in the day because I was getting super weird colours and no one could figure out why. In other words, colours can vary from programme to programme.

Make sure you aren’t lowering the color space in the viewer. Also your camera could be applying a LUT to the viewer
