my first build, is it ok?

So it's my first build and I have decided to go quite simple, I got an Asus P8B75-M for free so I'm using that as my motherboard, (I know its bad but I'm most likely gonna change it) I got a core i3 2120 for cheap and for the rest I've chosen; A corsair carbide series 300r windowed, a hx750i PSU,  a corsair h100i cooler (v1 as I like the RGB) , 16 Gb of corsair vengeance ddr3 RAM, a 2Tb WD blue and later when I have the money for it, an Asus dual gtx1060 Geforce Oc edition 3Gb

btw the theme is black and blue and I was considering LEDs, is it worth it?

Thanks

Interesting, One question though. Why a 240MM cooler on a 2120?

well it's not "quite simple" and is rather overkill but still, I overkilled it as I'm definitely going to upgrade it in the future, my most likely upgrades are, more storage space, a better CPU and a better motherboard(that is compatible with everything

Yeah, bottleneck city right here. Hopefully you can put up with it until you upgrade.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You probably don't want a very expensive PSU and CPU cooler you don't need, and then not buy a GPU that you would actually need. Drop the CPU cooler and use a stock one or a cheap one, buy a 550w power supply for about $78-80 and get a GPU instead. At least that's what I would do.

You won't be getting anywhere with that CPU, even for basic internet browsing.

Why are you buying a $100+ AIO cooler when you're using a $5 dual core CPU?

Why are you buying a $150+ 750w PSU for a system that will draw less than 250w?

If you do want a cheap core and board go for the Ryzen 3 2200g and a compatible board, shouldn't be more than 150 for both and you won't be bottlenecked to hell anymore.

HDD - 250GB LITEONIT SSD - Cougar MX330 ATX Tower - EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GQ 750W Gold- Razer Deathaddder Elite - Corsair K55 RGB Keyboard

if you want to stick with your current socket then yea, the i7-3770k would be your best bet. No reason to get the non k if you're getting an aio cooler. Should be found on eBay for about 150 bucks.

But I will still recommend the Ryzen for the price

On the low end they are a much better option just make sure you get a B450 motherboard.

Yes. the new i3-9xxx cpus start at 150 without a fan and motherboard while you could get the Ryzen cpu (which comes with the fan) and the board for the same price. And with the Ryzen 3000 around the corner which should see a boost in clock speeds, the only thing that AMD was lacking a little in, making an upgrade in the future a very viable option.

Major changes like what, new cpus will be supported on the AM4 socket for the next couple of generations as long as you get the bios updates.
