RTX 2060 VS 2070

Hey everyone

 

I was wondering if I should get an RTX 2060 Gaming Z from MSI or a mid-range RTX 2070.

I know it's not worth the extra money performance wise, but for 144hz 1080p gaming, is 6GB VRAM enough?

I mostly play e-sports titles if that helps.

At 1080p 4gb is enough, you need more vram if you want to use 4k.

E-sport titles won't use that much vram, so i think 2060 will be good enough for now.

6gb is enough for 1080p, many esports titles cant even use up 4gb

Max settings Overwatch at 1440p uses 2.5GB of vram

I’ve got a strix 2060 and have a 144hz 1080p monitor. I’m happy with it and glad I didn’t go with the 2070

The 2070 was positioned horribly by nvidia, just go with a 2060.

2060 will get 144fps, theres only a 10% performance increase with the 2070.
