Need laptop recommendations, 500-700$

Hey everyone, Im looking to get myself a laptop for school in the 500-700 USD price range. Doesn't have to have too much horsepower, just need it mainly for excel modelling. 
Preferably ips panel.

What do you study? If it's mathematically oriented, I'd suggest something that accepts pen input, like a secondhand surface pro or a lenovo yoga or such.

us, preferably slim/light with decent battery life, display size does not matter that much
