I think i might have found a solution, i set the IA DC load line to 0.01

Anyone know why adaptive voltage doesnt work with this cpu+mobo combo?  I had an 8600k in it before, worked fine. When i installed the new cpu, the adpativ went crazy.

I booted up, i just reset the default settings in bios. Looked in hwinfo and the cvore was peeking near 1.36v

I update the bios, and reset cmos. Checked vcore, it was still 1.36v.

Then i tried manually applying the adpative voltage, i wrote in 1.25v, and enabled the "Best case scenario" option. Then i booted and the vcore was 1.46

I tried disabling "Best case scenario" setting (cant rembember what its called)

Booted up and the voltage was still super high. I tried setting cpu max 140% and LLC 5, didnt change the voltage.


At last i tried settings the offset at a minus level. Offset -0.120. Then the voltage stayed between 1.25v and 1.29v

Why is it like this? Does it matter that i use offset and not adaptive? Also what are normal voltages for a 4.7 / 4.9 ghz 9700k ?

What are your temps like? My temps are around 68c with 4.7 and 1.29v on all cores.

mine are about 80C peaks to 87-90 depending on workload. also, im just using a 120mm aio.

That seemed a bit high. Im using 280mm aio from corsair

honestly, I have no clue. i hate Asus's bios. I liked MSI's Better.
