still need best ram pick -- ram comprehensive, helpful info from quora

  • any ram is fine, doesnt matter
    • all ram made in same factory
1. is this accurate? what ram do ppl on this site recommend?

which of these rams has lowest cas rates?
  • go for the lowest CAS rates
    • the lower the rates are the better performing as Ram can function faster
  • something like Team T-force or Corsair,
    • maybe some Samsung or Mushkin ram would be perfectly fine
2. should i go for lowest cas rates? which one of these has the lowest 'cas rate', w/e that is?

ram: going for 16, possibly 32 or 64 ram

these are some of the:

a) highest rated cpus on amazon +

b) has high sample size with many reviews

16

the price to 32 or 64 does not scale well. if you know of 32 / 64 ram that scales well, then would just go 32 / 64

32

ram speed

3. what ram speed should get or it doesn't matter?

  • 2400 Intel 3200 AMD

ram has to be same 'speed'?
says
  • ram speed has to all be in the same
  • bottleneck is slowest

4. is quora accurate?

Unless you're doing something that actually requires higher amounts of RAM, 32GB is more than enough. Lower CAS is best, the timing is listed as "CL14" for example on RAM specs. Speed, I recommend 3200MHz personally as A: it's usually cheap and performs extremely well & B: most website/YouTube reviews have found return on investment or performance for clock significantly lessens once you go above 3200MHz.  If you can find a nice kit of CL14 3200MHz, that you like the look of, you're set.

Also I highly recommend you check your motherboard's QVL list for the ram you want to buy. Ram not being on the QVL list doesn't necessarily mean it won't work with the board, but RAM being ON the QVL list means your motherboard maker specifically tested that RAM with your board at its stated XMP and it works/is stable. It's a peace of mind type thing.
