What is a GTX 1050 ti good for nowadays?

Kyatto

Hi, i just fully upgraded my pre-built PC with a GTX 1050ti sff and am eager to know what i potentially missed out, i think it's worth noticing there are still a couple games that won't reach 60 fps on high settings like Rise of the Tomb Raider 7u7, and some games won't seem to reach 60 fps at all despite of the upgrade like Subnautica, Hitman, Cities Skylines, etc.

So what are the best games that run just perfectly at 60 fps high-ultra quality with a 1050ti?

PS: Pic as a small token of appreciation.

The 1050 ti was never made for ultra detail gaming, if you want max detail 1080p you need to look at older titles as opposed to modern games. Team fortress 2, Left 4 Dea, Half life, older Doom titles, maybe Dark Souls 1 and 2, things released around like 2014 and older can do high details. The 1050 ti is comparable to the 770, which was a high end card from 2013, so that hopefully gives it some context.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

No, new games dont run on stable 60fps 1080p low. Get something else. I sold my 1050ti for 90e and getting rx580 8gb for just 30-40e more.

You don't use it for Ultra anyway so I'd just treat it like a 75w version of a HD7970.

1080P Medium-High Textures, Low-Medium Presets.

It's for running games.. Reduced settings

Not for running AAA games well.

It'll Fortnite and all that just fine though...

:)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
