Is this a good PC?

So i dont know if this is a good pc build. If it is or isnt tell me in the replies.

Processor: Ryzen 7 2700 upto 4.1Ghz (8 Cores)

Mother Board: Gigabyte - X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming

Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master - Master 120V+ Liquid Cooler RGB

Ram: Corsair - Vengeance 16 GB (8x2) 3000 Mhz DDR4

GPU: GIGABYTE - RTX 2070 Aorus 8GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB @ 7200 RPM

SSD: Kingston - 120 GB (A 400)

Smps: Corsair - VS650 (650 W) Case: Thermaltake - V200 RGB

Good yes, but if possible change out the PSU for somthing better, its a low end model, and perhaps shift some budget from the 2 TB HDD to get a bigger SSD.


Also the CPU cooler could be better, but it will do the job.

I would say no the power supply - Corsair VS Series.

You should choose a better PSU for this build.

My VS550 gave me random shutdown and reboots within 2 months of purchase.

VS Series is a bad option.

- The cooler isnt worth the money, look at a high end air cooler

- You can get a better SSD for around that price, get an MX500 or 860 Evo, also don't get anything below 250GB, 120 isnt enough space

- Power supply should be swapped out for a higher quality unit, take a look at a seasonic focus, Corsair RMx or EVGA G2

I don't like Gigabyte's Ryzen boards. I've had too many issues with them, but I haven't tested out the X470 Aorus. Cooler Master coolers are kind of in the garbage pail right now in terms of price to performance, and a 120mm AIO is never a good idea unless it's the only type of cooler your case will support. I try to stay away from Kingston SSDs, and the Inland Professional 240GB is only $40-ish right now, IIRC. Definitely a better choice. The PSU is trash heap worthy. It won't catch fire, but it won't last very long either.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

A be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 would definitely be a better choice than this cooler, but depending on your aesthetic preferences, you may want to get an AIO from a company like Corsair or NZXT

 

Get a different PSU, you can visit the PSU tier list to figure out which one is better. I stick to Tier A-B for mid-high end builds, and Tier B-C for more budget oriented ones.

Looks like a great setup to me! Except the RTX 2070, but to each their own. :) 

 

Also, depending on what you're doing, you MAY be served better by a smaller HDD, and a bigger SSD. But if you plan on doing a lot of recording with Shadowplay (is it?) then I think your setup will actually be the optimal one. But I would still try for a 240GB SSD if possible, you'll appreciate it later on IMO.

I've had no issues with AROUS X470 boards. Have installed three of them with 0 issues. Overall decent build with the exception of PSU IMO.

A few things I will say on this build. SSD's have come way down in price... you can get a 240gb ssd for just a few bucks more and a 480gb SSD can be had for around $45 compared to the 25-30 for a 240gb.

 

The Cooler you have picked out is a 120mm AIO. I wouldn't go with an AIO unless space is an issue or you have one that is at least 240mm of bigger. For the price of this cooler you could get an air cooler which would offer better thermal performance.

 

You can get a Artic Freezer 33 Esport edition for $35-$45 depending on color combination you choose.

I really like this build i just would change to 500 gb SSD .
