It's 2x Xeon E5-4650 on an ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS with a Sapphire R9 290X@stock/watercooled.

I was folding on team 0 for the longest, now I have a team to join, and since my PC is on 24/7 anyways, might as well be doing something productive with it anyways.  Fight all the cancer, here we goooooo!!!!!

I've folding for a day now at 50k PPD, I'm folding from University halls so electricity is free, planning to be folding 24/7 for a few weeks, till just before assignment deadlines :) . GPU only folding for me as my FX-9370 likes to get a little toasty.

I wish it were that simple :D

No, I've spent far over half a year looking for the parts for a good price. Hardest part were the CPUs. The R9 290X came last in December, the rest was up and running late Octobre.

I'm struggling with cooling solutions at the moment that would satisfy me.

I started off using 2x Noctua NH-D14. They are awesome but on that board they are stripped in their performance using one orientation (air flow from front to back where the rear gets to eat the hot air from the front) or the other (air flow from left to right where the rear's front is covered half by the GPU and the front's by a quarter).

Floating through the internet I came across the Sapphire Vapor-X CPU-Coolers which have a great performance for their size so I ordered them after having searched for nearly a week and having found them at a retailer from Italy :D

Being happy when they arrived it turned out the mounting bracket for those is too big by ~5mm using it on the front socket since the chipset is very close so at the momet I ended up using a Noctua on the front CPU and a Vapor-X on the rear CPU.

It's going to stay this way for the moment being until I'm done with the GPU.

Currently I have mounted a Corsair H110 using the NZXT Kraken G10. I switched the fan from the G10 for an Arctic F9 PWN Rev.2. So far that solution works great and it keeps the R9 at ~50°C woithout spinning up. But it's far from what I want to achieve in terms of silence and for now I'm stuck waiting for my BitFenix Spectre Pro PWM and Swiftech 8W-PWM-SPL-ST to arrive and then it's time for disassembling again for multiple reasons. Firstly the foam used os the Backplate is quite thick and sturdy and I had to use quite some pressure only to even get the screws to hold with 2 or 3 windings. Tighting it further bends the PCB so I'm going to swap that foam against a 3M Thermal Pad. It's way thinner and way more flexibel so I recon I'll be able to have a much safer fastening of the cooling unit with less tension to the PCB. While doing that I'm going to mount some passive heatsinks to the VRMs to have them better cooled so I can have the Arctic F9 have working slower because at the moment I have to keep it at 75% duty cycle to keep the VRM's temperatures  acceptable.

It's far from loud but also it's way from where I want it to be (consider it wining at high levels B) ).

Should the Spectres not be what I imagine I'll stick to my originally formed plan and use the Corsair SP120 PWM with fan-adapter because they run as silent as I want it to be. Only trouble I'd then have would be to fit the adapters to the radiator but it shouldn't be hard to find appropriate screws.

Despite the fans though I'm very much thinking about purchasing two H110s for the CPUs as well. I recon though I'd have to build a custom rack which is able to house the board and three H110s

Remember it starts monday 00:00 :)

Thanks for the reminder, it completely slipped my mind. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do all week seeing as F@H on full power reduces your computer to a very hot paper weight.

It's winter over there right? Just pretend your computer is a space heater. :P

lol I actually disconnected my house heating from my bedroom because my PC heats it so well. Even when it's about 25F outside.
