Are you using Hotspot shield?

Yo! Sorry if this is the wrong place.. but I got a 15MB Internet Speed.. now I downloaded CyberGhost and my MB speed was at around 5-6MB on a US Servers... now I downloaded Hotspot Shield to watch a TV Show on a US only website and it worked without buffering too much... it didn't buffer at all with Hotspot Shield.. and it's trial.. and guess what's my MB speed? It's 10.95MB Speed with Hotspot shield..

So I'm asking, paying 24 dollars for 1 year of Hotspot shield service is worth it? Gaming isn't worth it as I don't live in the US so my ping is above 300-400.. but for youtube, emails, etc... and TV shows I wanna watch for free online, is it really worth the 1 year service?

Does anyone else use this? and I want to use the coupon code from Linus :)

I used to use Shield for Netflix (UK has a lot of stuff US Netflix doesn't) but now I just use the Hola extension for Chrome.

No, they store logs of everything you do, connect to and use, there overpriced, Install what I consider to be malware along with the program and have extremely slow servers, I use PrivateInternetAccess or iBVPN.

No because type sudo systemctl start tor.service is free.

 

Did you know, most of the exit nodes for TOR are hosted by the FBI.

Yeah, i've head... but I don't think that they have that many nodes.

 

And still, as long as you don't get they as entrance or exit nodes...

Can't bother with using a VPN at all. I don't really have the need to watch content restricted by location anyway, and I don't want the extra latency caused by it. I know the NSA is watching but I don't really care that much. I know, it's not nice to have someone watching your every movement basically, but I don't have that much to hide anyway... I don't think it's as big of a deal as most make it out to be.

I use Hotspot shield only if i'm in a public wi-fi place just because been seeing how easy it is to hack (from youtube, not sure if it's still same). But the free version is good enough for me. At home no need for it really. Used Hotspot as it was first thing I saw and saw decent reviews on the service.

They're the best i have found. I have a 1Gb/s internet connection and i can easily get 800/800 of that through the VPN. Which is quite impressive.
