Need advice to locate a laptop for my needs

Hey

I got a shitty-ish HP laptop I'm thinking of returning. Don't get me wrong it does the job well for what I need just that it's not FHD (1080p) and no SSD.

I would like to get one that comes stock with a SSD for Os and at least 500gb hard drive but laptop like those are getting rare it seems these days and opening them to replace a drive seems pretty complicated now by opening from the top?

I would just need something with a i3 or new Ryzen to to be able to run Netflix and my BMW diagnostic software which doesn't require much. Preferably not go to high in budget either sticking around 750$ CAD

Not really.

But hey guys I ended up with https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07JJR5SJ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and bought  a M.2 SSD to have both.

Would have love to get the 8th gen one with a quad core CPU but it's still not avail prime and about 150$ more expensive. I think the current i5 dual core should work fine for my needs.

Why? Looks pretty good.

Mediocre overall build quality, poor battery life

As long as it's in metal I'm happy. And the battery life is pretty good at around 5 hours.

It's not metal, only aluminum brush. The plastic chassis itself is very flexible in this model

5 hrs is not considered good, even gaming laptops can achieve that

Oh okok. If you can find me something better for the same price that be interesting. But I watchd reviews and the flex shown in the videos wasn't bad. Certainly better than the shitty HP laptop I first got at Besbuy which I returned.

As long as battery last 1 hour I'm happy. It's only used without the charger when

Go for model over brand, or at least for series.

Sorry but HP is out in my book and I'll never get an HP product again.
