Best space exploration game and random thoughts...

Kyatto

Self explanatory, i'm hungry for some spaceship piloting, exploring planets, potentially landing on them and perhaps shooting stuff for fun; i was gonna  buy GTA V for the thrill of massacre but then realized it's kinda expensive for my budget (currently saving for a new gaming rig) and i've also not even installed sleeping dogs since i bought it few weeks ago; currently this is my shopping cart, i love open world rpg's but it's a been too much learning about inventory and fighting systems so i wanted something more like a sim, that's why i have "Everything" and want something space-themed to chill off to.

Right now i'm between Elite Dangerous and Everspace but feel free to recommend a better one you know about.

PS: Skullgirls is probably not making the cut since i've already got Mortal Kombat X but i might buy it if someone gives me good reasons to.

Space engineers?

Freelancer? Star citizen guy’s last game.

Minecraft mods prolly.

Dead space is a space game where you explore a ship :P

elex is a sci fi rpg by the guys that made gothic. Might be worth a shot if you haven’t play the mass effect trilogy.

I'd go with Elite Dangerous, nice space flying and shooting. No Man's Sky is alright but I got bored of it real quick.

EVE Online was/is a good game I've heard. Some friends play(ed) it. @tikker

Elite Dangerous or No Man's Sky sounds right up your alley. The latter is especially suitable to just chill off. Still not that much to it though, but still an enjoyable game.

Thnx a lot, they've said terrible things about it, but i feel it might suit my craving.

It had an unfortunate start, but they've made up for it in my opinion. It's shallow, but I still enjoy it from time to time. I'm eying Elite for a while now as well, since it has a lot more to it.
